The Royal London Rotation

Dear all, 

 

We hope you and your family are well and safe. 

 

In light of the recent Government decision to extend the national lockdown till July 19, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Royal London Hospital Orthopaedic and Trauma Society (RLHOTS) meeting on July 9. 

 

Over the last week we have had multiple discussions with our venue and our partners to work out if we could safely proceed with the meeting while adhering to Government guidelines. However it has become apparent that with the social distancing restrictions in place, the meeting would be a poor facsimile of previous years events. The delegates would not be allowed to mingle with each other or the sponsors and our international speakers would have to present virtually. The after meeting dinner would also have very limited numbers with social distancing. 

 

Having cancelled our annual meeting for the second consecutive year, we are acutely aware of the impact this has had on our trainees, and on our friends, colleagues and partners across the region.

 

Hopefully this pandemic is coming to an end soon and we look forward to hosting everyone at next year's meeting on June 24, 2022. Please put this date into your diaries now!
