Ms Swee Ang is an orthopaedic surgeon and humanitarian. Born in Singapore, she is well known for work in war zones and refugee camps in the Middle East. She was the first female orthopaedic surgeon appointed to the St Bartholemew and Royal London Hospitals, and currently practices with an upper limb interest.
The Swee Ang Travelling Fellowship Award is open to current Royal London Rotation Trainees who wish to undertake work/fellowships outside of the United Kingdom. It is judged by Ms Swee Ang, Mr Kash Akhtar (Training Programme Director) and one of the current Barts Bone & Joint Health international fellows.
The award is for a maximum of £250.
Award application opens 1st January and closes 4 weeks before RLHOTS each year.
